I was scrolling through my Instagram Feed the other day when I came across an advertisement for vibrators some children’s toys tied up in an Amazon box. The sight of these innocent playthings being used to peddle something so juvenile and inappropriate felt wrong and it got me wondering; is Amazon selling sex toys of children tied up?

I can’t believe they would stoop to this level— but then I guess they are an online retailer. So maybe it isn’t that big of a shock… I know Amazon sells all sorts of weird and wonderful items online so it wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest if they were selling sex toys for children too. *shudders*

But thinking a bit more realistically, it occurs to me that their customer base is probably adults more than children— after all, most kids wouldn’t be able to get their hands on these products. So it just doesn’t seem like something Amazon would do; it doesn’t sound like their style.

But then again, it doesn’t really seem like the kind of thing any company dealing in toys for children should be doing either. How could they even consider selling sex toys to children in the first place? Not only does it go against the spirit of their customer base, but it’s also just plain wrong and irresponsible.

Whatever the truth of the matter may be, it’s clear that somebody out there has a twisted sense of morality and a sick need for money. Look, I get it— we all want to make money. But when kids are involved, it’s just not right. It’s plain wrong.

In my opinion, Amazon has become so big that they are losing touch with their basic values, and it’s sad. By now, they should know better than to do something as distasteful as selling toys of children tied up.

It’s baffling to me that such a huge corporation with so much potential for good could succumb to such depraved marketing tactics. With all the resources and experience they have, why would they go down such a path?

It’s not even about the money. Sure, they would make a few extra bucks for their trouble, but that money can’t compare with the damage such a thing does to their reputation. It’s just not worth it.

I thought it was important to give you a heads-up about this. If you should come across an Amazon ad for toys of children tied up, please step back and take a deep breath before deciding what to do next.

Amazon is a great company and it believes in its core values, so I hope this incident is an anomaly and an exception. But just in case, proceed with caution and think twice before buying something connected to this issue.
